In a partnership with USA Swimming, Sigma Gamma Rho has made groundbreaking efforts to increase swimming skills and decrease drowning rates in the community, particularly with a focus on the African-American community, which is disproportionately at risk for drowning accidents. The Brevard County Alumnae Chapter sponsors programs to provide complementary swim lessons to children and adults.
